You've Got Me

Lyrics:

Little boy wondering 'round
With light cupped in his hands
Tries to show everyone
But they don't understand

They retreat into their darkness
And throw in his face
The boy takes on their anger
The boy takes on their hate

Didn't know how to handle it all
And he thought it was all his fault
One day he will see
It's love the world needs to be

So go on boy with your light
Show it to everybody you may find
If nobody can see
Well, you've got me

You've got me
You've got me

Little boy wondering 'round
With light cupped in his hands
It attracts everyone
Who might understand

He sings to them softly
More gather around
He's feeding with love
He's feeding with sound

Now he knows how to handle it all
Evil comes and he lets it fall
Now he can see
It's love the world needs to be

So go on boy with your light
Show it to everybody you may find
When everyone finally sees
You've got me

You've got me
You've got me
You've got me
You've got me

Yeah, you've got me
You've got me
You've got me
You've got me

Little boy wondering 'round
With light cupped in his hands

Come So Far

Lyrics:

I've got the whole world inside
Got it all inside myself
All the joys and all the sorrows
All the heavens and all the hells

I know because I've been there
I know you've been there too
So let us come together
Let's be one, let's be true

No more denying who we are
It's all the same
It's all the same
All the same

The road we're on
Can feel so long
But I'm here to say
We've come so far

We've come so far

There have been some moments
That I'm not proud to say
I've acted out of anger
And I've acted out of hate

There have also been some times
Where I'm showing everyone my light
Can we let go of our old ways?
Build something strong, something bright

No more denying who we are
It's all the same
It's all the same
All the same

The road we're on
Can feel so long
But I'm here to say, here to say
We've come so far

Heading towards the heart
Heading towards your love in me
Your love in me
Loving me
Loving me

Heading towards the heart
Towards the love in me

It is time
It is time
It is time
For us to say

We've come so far
We've come so far

No more denying who we are
It's all the same
It's all the same
All the same

The road we're on
Can feel so long
But I'm here to say
Here to say

We've come so far

Beyond The Door

Lyrics:

I don't even know my name
Don't even know my face
Anymore

Everything will change
Nowhere is safe
Anymore

Looking inside
What lies
Beyond the door?

Looking outside
What is real
And what's it for?

I've been looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya

I've been looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya

I've been searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya

I've been searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya

I don't even know my name
Don't even know my face
Anymore

Everything will change
Nowhere is safe
Anymore

Looking inside
What lies
Beyond the door?

Looking outside
What is real
And what's it for?

I've been looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya

I've been looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya
Looking for ya

I've been searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya

I've been searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya
Searching for ya

I don't even know my name
Don't even know my face
Anymore

Reviews

Erick French

Track 1, for the self-aware man attuning to his inner child. Track 2, had enough of politics or your own ego? Track two is for me and for you. Track 3, embodies the quest of a soul transcending the illusion of separation. Passionate, haunting, inspiring. His music seems to descend from the likes of those young spiritually driven musicians such as Trevor Hall, Sam Garrett, and Nakho Bear. Here is heart centered gentle sincerity, howling compassionate contemplation, of truths that benefit us all.

Beyond The Door features a powerful dichotomy of intensity and and impactful use of negative space. I'm excited to see what comes next!
